So this past Friday/Saturday I went on a spontaneous trip with Emily to her hometown. It was her homecoming so she wanted to watch the football game and get some homecooked food-finally! So we drove approximately 2 hours to the small town of Rensselaer. If I think of somewhere in Wisconsin I can compare it to, I'll let y'all know. Anyways.. Emily's family owns like 5 businesses, like literally, so they are rich and you can tell as soon as you see their house/yard. It was super nice and huge, but the best part was.... her dog! It was a golden lab and reminded me of Rhylee :( so I decided to substitute Rhylee with Cooper for the day, which sounds terrible but I am like desperate for my puppy! We finally got some home cooked meals, MUCH NEEDED after a month of crappy cafeteria food- all. the. time. yuck. We had potato soup which = scalloped potatoes and ham but in soup form. Update to everyone that isn't my immediate family and doesn't know this- I HATE scalloped potatoes and ham. So I ended up like choking it down :P but it was home cooked soo ehhh I don't know, I guess I can't complain. But I'd much rather have some booyah- which no one down here has heard of, how depressing! Anyways, she drove me around to show me everything in Rensselaer that's worth seeing and then we went to her high school and when school let out we went to go pick her brother up at the middle school. After we picked him up we went to this dairy farm that had amazing ice cream, probably the best ice cream I've ever had! (Don't worry mom all the food that wasn't home cooked was paid for by the lovely Gutweins :) ) Let's see... after that we went to the football game. It made me realize how much I miss high school football, but it also made me realize how much I do NOT miss the high schoolers! Got some good quality sleeping in a comfortable non-dorm bed that night, even if I did have to share it with Emily :P. The next morning we went to Emily's brother's, Tommy, soccer game and then had lunch at a little mexican restaurant in their town. It was actually really good, I was kind of surprised. Then we headed back to our home away from home- the drive back seemed to go by way faster than the drive to her house. Uhh lets see... after we got back she realized she was unbelievably sick (possibly mono- ahhh hopefully not!). OH!! And one of my friends here got two tickets to the Colts/Steelers game this weekend and she said she remembered how much I love the Colts so she asked me if I wanted to go with her- for FREE!!! AHHH YESS! DUH I wanna go to the Colts game for free!! That's my exciting news of the week :D
Gotta go, Teen Mom's almost on!
Adios<3
